Visual aspects: Amber to dark amber color if accompanied by honeydew. Minimum 80 mm Depth.
Aroma: Floral with a component of humus, leaf litter, mushrooms, and, if honeydew is present, malted notes.
Taste: Dominance of bitter taste with salty notes, sweet is secondary.
Touch (crystallization): Generally rapid and often defective crystallization due to high humidity (> 18.5%).
